Connor is an eight-year-old from Helena, MT, with a passion for bull riding. Connor knew that the one thing that would take his mind off of his life-threatening neurological disorder diagnosis would be to attend the Billings Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event and see the bulls and bull riders in person. Connor could hardly contain his excitement when Make-A-Wish® granted his wish to go to the PBR event.
Connor was smiling the entire time he was at the event. After the bull riding, Connor got to go down to the arena and meet some of the cowboys, who couldn’t have been sweeter. He got a signed hat, boot, a kiss and some handshakes. The most touching moment was when a cowboy signed the rope that he had used to ride Bushwalker, the retiring bull.
The trip got even better the next day when some members of the PBR, including Gage Gay and Matt Triplett, surprised Connor with a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility. Connor was able to see where the riders prep their ropes, go on the dirt where the bulls are released and even see the bulls up close. Along the tour, he met riders, fighters and Flint Rasmussen the clown. Every new person he met signed Connor’s chaps.
Connor and his family had an amazing time and were very appreciative of he was treated during his visit. The smile never left Connor’s face from start to finish. Everyone included in the wish was so accommodating and kind to Connor, making his experience as special as possible. He will hold onto the memories from the PBR event for a lifetime, remembering the joy he experienced while there.
